Uncommon art 2024

From our "Incredible Brainstorming Potluck" in February, to showtime in August, the Uncommon Art Committee (aka The Commission) worked hard to get this (our fifteenth anniversary) outdoor art show off the ground. It is a great source of pride with our amazing artists, authors and crafters, as well as our community at large.

 

Huge thanks goes to the members of The Commission: Christine Andrews, Nina Duval, Nicki French, Linda Kinville, Joann Olson, Yvonne Walton, as well as our Main Street Board representative, Tina Lawton. Without their wisdom, input and Herculean contributions, none of it would have happened (or at least as amazingly).

• Our fabulous Rotary Club provided cold drinks to our show guests at 4 Main Street. Muchas gracias to Robbie Grady and all the awesome Rotary Club folks who worked the refreshment stand.

• The Kids' Craft Area inside the Main Street office at 4 Main. Big thanks to Anne Kelly of GHS for setting things up and creating a very cool prototype, and also to Anna Duval who supervised everything and assisted the kiddos with creating their unique mementos.

• And lastly, our Uncommon Art Raffle Tent, which did quite well in its third year (in spite of the muggy weather). Much gratitude goes to Rebecca Duval who spearheaded the effort and did an outstanding job to keep things running smoothly. Also a big thanks to Anna Duval, Nicki French and Tina Lawton for all their help in set-up and close. Also, to Nicki French, Joann Olson, and Nina Duval for drawing and logging the winning tickets, as well as distribute the prizes to the lucky winners!
